While there is no longer a requirement for upper body contact during an inversion, there still must be contact in this stunt. The top person cannot be released and land in an inverted position. To make this skill legal, a base could grab the top person’s shoulder as she’s coming up from the roll or the backspot could maintain contact on the leg.
