Bartlett, Tenn., February 16, 2018 – USA Cheer has announced the schools represented on the US Junior All Girl National Team, which will represent the United States in the Junior Elite Division at the 2017 International Cheer Union (ICU) World Championships, which takes place April 25-27, 2018 at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at the Walt Disney World® Resort.

Carrie DeBold of Kentucky has been named Head Coach of the Junior All Girl National Team for her second year.  Last year’s Junior All Girl team took the gold medal in their division. DeBold has coached Eastside Middle School to nine Kentucky Middle School State Championships, two World School Championships and four UCA Junior National Stunt Group Championships.

“I am excited to have Carrie DeBold and her staff back to compete as the US Junior All Girl National Team for 2018. Last year, Carrie and her staff led the first US Junior All Girl Team to the inaugural ICU Junior World Championship, where they amazed the ICU Championship with their difficult routine and performed it effortlessly,” says Tony Nash, Director of US National Teams for USA Cheer. “Carrie and her staff have a great chemistry and a work ethic that is displayed by the cohesion and success of their teams. Carrie will be assisted by Jay Kirk and Kristal Stillwell, who have been instrumental to the success of their teams. We are confident in their abilities as a coaching staff and look forward to what they will bring in 2018.”

The Junior All Girl US National Team will be comprised of athletes from the following Kentucky schools:

  • Eastside Middle School | Mount Washington, KY
  • Bullitt East High School | Mount Washington, KY
  • Bullitt Central High School | Shepherdsville, KY
